Christmas Around The World Photo Challenge and Giveaway!

Happy New year again to each of you! We are starting off the year with a fun way for each of us to share a bit about our Christmas celebration! I want to invite you to send in a photo or two for the “Christmas Around The World Photo Challenge.” International or State-side, you’re all invited!

Your pictures can be of something cultural, of something ministry related, a picture of your kids, your family Christmas photo… anything you’d like that shows some aspect of your Christmas celebration! Each person who submits a photo will be entered into a drawing to win this lovely authentic Russian Matrioshka (nesting) doll!

This isn’t a contest in the sense that we won’t be voting on the best photo; It is rather an opportunity for each of us to share about our holiday and gives everyone, great photographers and amateurs alike, the chance to win a fun gift! The winner will be chosen at random.

If you would like to submit a photo or two, please email them, along with titles for each, to by January 10th! Also, I would love to link to your blog for those interested. Just let me know your blog address if you would appreciate me doing so! Thank you! I can’t wait to see your pictures!

Sounds fun! But you should give us a little more time. It’s not even Christmas yet here, and several of our big celebrations are still coming up….

That’s right, Phyllis! We have Christmas #2 coming up on the 8th too, as you well know. Do you guys celebrate both protestant and orthodox Christmas there? Our churches here always end up celebrating both for some reason. If you send your photo in after the 10th, I’ll surely add it in. If enough people send in photos, I’ll break it up in multiple posts anyway, like last time if you saw the “Kids and Culture Photo Challenge.” I just want to make sure we get this up before Christmas is a distant memory for the majority. I hope and pray you have a very blessed Christmas! I enjoyed checking out your Advent posts! What a blessed season!

Yes, we celebrate both. Our pastor back in Moscow liked to say that the Bible tells us “rejoice and again I say rejoice,” which means that we are to celebrate both Christmases. 🙂
