A Season For Everything

seasonal leaves

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is even a season for blogging and a season not to as I am finding this summer. As you likely know from previous posts and mentions of the decreasing amount of time that I have had to put into this blog during this season, this is a busy time in the life of our family, and a season where blogging isn’t fitting in as well as it has in the past.

I really enjoy writing here and am thankful for those of you who read, but I am wanting to make sure that I devote myself to my priorities before making time for my hobbies, and currently my relationship with God, my family, reconnecting with loved ones while in the US, and the work of support raising are priorities that are able to fill my days to the brim. Also, when I do write here, I want it to be something of quality and interest, but without the extra time to pray and prepare, this is a difficult task.

I also have a number of projects here that I hope to work on and I also have been intending for a long time to invite some other women to contribute to this site, but in order to make these changes I need a bit of time get them in place.

All this to say, I anticipate taking a break from now until about September, perhaps with a post here and there as I have time and inspiration.  If you wanted to be emailed when this page is up and running again fully, you can send me a message at ForMissionaryMoms@gmail.com and I will make sure to do so.

As for the photo challenge, sadly this is something that also may or may not happen.  I hate to stop projects mid-way, but I haven’t gotten much of a response and have little time to send out personal invitations as I did last time.  If I do happen to receive more submissions before Thursday, I will happily post them though, as I would love it you wanted to encourage one another in that way.

Thank you again to all of you who read here. I continue very much to have a heart for moms around the world to thrive and find joy, fulfillment, and encouragement in what we are called to, so know that even though I don’t know many of you, that I will continue to be praying for God’s blessings on your lives as you love Him, devote yourselves wholeheartedly to your families, and faithfully serve those around you! I look forward to being back in September!

Bless you, for putting your family first! Believe me…all of us missionary moms understand what it is like to desire to do something but not have the time to do it! We’ll look forward to hearing you when you get back!
Blessings on your time in the US and your family!

Looking forward to hearing from you again. I’ve enjoyed your posts. I find that they make me think so much that by the time I’m ready to come back with my thoughts in a comment, I’m late and you’re already onto the next post! Thanks for being thought-provoking. =) May your time in the states be productive, be fun, be refreshing, and be a great blessing. =)

    Hi Ashley,

I understand exactly what you’re going through and I myself need to take a loooong break, life is getting quiet hectic for us and now that my daughter is almost one. (or more like 1 day until she turns 1), she needs more of my time, I’m sure you’ve been a blessing to many moms and you’ve surely been a blessing to me.

Thank you for all the wonderful posts and challenges…!

I hope to read your blog when you come back, and I would also love to design your blog if you’d like.

🙂 A HUG FROM A SISTER IN CHRIST AKA ALMOST EX BLOGGER.

Thank you all for such nice notes. I am happy to know that some of what you’ve found here has been encouraging, and give credit to God exclusively for anything that has been of worth. I will miss posting here regularly, but definitely look forward to starting up again when the time is right. I look forward to enjoying your blogs in the meantime and to just enjoying what God is calling us to for this season.

Ana, you’re really taking a break too? I so hope that Everyday M. Moms will still be up and running, as I totally love reading it, but of course I totally understand if it also will be on a break. It is so important to keep our priorities in the right order. I will look forward to your blogging return though, whenever that is! Also, Happy Birthday to sweet Emma-Pearl!

    Thank you Ashley!

Yes, I’ve been trying to keep up with posting for a while but it’s been a bit difficult, Angie and Dana have been really great friends, they’ve kept on posting even though I haven’t been blogging for a long time.

😀 Have a happy break! hugs from Brazil

Ana, all of ladies who post on your site sound like really great and godly women. I always get lots out of all of your posts there! Glad to know that they’ll keep coming. =) I hope you enjoy and benefit from your much needed rest!

Sandy, thank you for the encouragement about the photo challenge. I also am really encouraged by what others share. Currently I only have 2 submissions. I will post them and anything else that I receive, hopefully by next week, but it will likely be a small group of photos and it won’t be up by Friday like I had hoped.

Anyone who would still like to send in a picture is still very much invited to do so! You can send them anytime up until you see the actual post!
