I was thinking today about how much I appreciate all of the wisdom and helpful tips that I receive from other moms both overseas and in the US about life, parenting, raising children in a foreign country, money saving tips, nutrition, travel advice, balancing family and ministry, wise financial stewardship, walking with God in the midst of rapid fire diaper needs, creative  home improvement and jerryrigging, emergency plumbing by candle light, tips for an effective “bucket bath” when the hot water gets shut off, suggestions for when your child blows out of his last diaper when there are still 8 more hours left on a train ride, etc.  I decided to see if there is a site out there for missionary moms that compiles these sorts of topics and provides an outlet for missionary moms to connect with each other. I am assuming that it is most likely my lack of skill that prevented me from stumbling across a long list of such sites relating to moms on this unique sort of adventure, but left to my own resources, the best that Google and I could come up with was a bunch of sites for mothers of grown Mormon children who are off on their missions. I am not Mormon, and my oldest kid is only 3 and a half, so I thought that since I couldn’t find a site to satisfy my desire, I might as well make one!
